Joan Jackson

Joan Jackson, age 80, of Bristol, Texas passed away peacefully on May 26, 2012 at Baylor All Saints Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Joan was born in Bristol, Texas, the daughter of  Mittie Lillian Threadgill and Howard Jefferson Davis. She was married to the late Gene Byron Jackson.
Joan is survived by a daughter, Sherry Ann Blalock, of N. Richland Hills, Texas and a son, Michael Gene Jackson of Boyd, Texas, one brother Jack Bill Davis of Bristol, Tx. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene Byron Jackson, son Ricky Keith Jackson, daughter Tammy Kay Sanders, and granddaughter Kaysha Jolene Sanders.
Joan was a member of Fundamental Baptist Church in Palmer, Texas.   She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She will be missed by all the lives she has touched.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00  p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Green Funeral home, 207 S. Wood Street, Ferris, Texas.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Palmer Fundamental Baptist Church, 207 W. Jefferson St., Palmer, Texas.  Interment to follow at Bristol Cemetery .
In lieu of flowers, per Joan’s wishes, the family requests that memorial contributions in her name be made to Manna Worldwide, 4255 W. Risinger Rd., Ft. Worth, Texas or online at www.mannaworldwide.com.
