Joe Paul Carrillo, Sr. – Obituary


Joe Paul Carrillo, Sr., age 55, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Vitas Inpatient Care in Carrollton, Texas. He was born in Ennis on September 26, 1963 to Paul and Adela (Lopez) Carrillo. Joe was an avid fisherman and was a longtime member of the Irving Bass Club. He was a Bass Master. He also loved Tejano music and most of all coaching his sons and grandsons Little League Teams. He was a 25-year Journeyman Electrician and worked for FSG Electric. Joe was a great family man and so loved his beautiful wife, Maggie, his children, grandchildren, and extended family. He had a very strong faith and a saying which came to be the family saying, “Family sticks together and Carrillo’s never quit!” He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Maggie Carrillo; son, Joe Carrillo, Jr. and wife, Justina; son, Anthony Carrillo; grandchildren, Joe Carrillo III and Jasmine Carrillo; mother, Adela Carrillo; sister, Marian Navarro and husband Danny; brothers, Jimmy Carrillo and Mark Carrillo; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Joe is preceded in death by his father Paul Carrillo and best friend and cousin Domingo De Los Santos. The family received friends from 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 AM on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Saint John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father Antonio Ormaza as Celebrant. Interment followed at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
