Kennith Kyle Anderson


Graveside services for Kennith Kyle Anderson, 85 of Simsboro, Tx, formerly of Ennis will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Cotton Gin Cemetery in Freestone County. Bro. Paul Pryor will officiate. There will be no visitation. Mr Anderson passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018, at the Mexia LTC Nursing & Rehab in Mexia, Tx. Kennith was born and raised in Bardwell, Texas to Porter Cleveland and Eula Mae Dandridge Anderson on March 4, 1933. On Frbruary 4, 1951 he married Hazel Loudean Sheets and they shared over 67 years of marriage together. They had three children. After graduating from Bardwell High School, he went to work for Ennis Business Forms for a number of years, then he worked for the Ford manufacturing plant. In 1957, Kennith joined the Dallas Police Department and was a member of the force for over 26 years. He was a dedicated officer and friend to all he met and he loved his job. After retirement from the force, he worked for Walsh Security for 10 years. Kennith loved his pets, gardening and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Anderson of Simsboro; two daughters, Beverly Hoffmann of Ennis, Kathy Crawley & husband Willie of Cotton Gin; eight grandchildren, Michelle Rogers & husband Lehman of Kemp, Melanie Smith & husband Jamie of Forney, Cookie Hoffmann, Christian Hoffmann and Donovan Hoffmann of Ennis, Allyson Keenum & husband David of Mexia, Kent Crawley & wife Minnie of Buffalo, Brandy Anderson Mills and husband Jeff of Emhouse; seven great-grandchildren, Lyndzey Smith, Micah Smith, Layni Keenum, Austin Few, Brittany Few, Michael Few, and Kyra Hatley. Mr Anderson is preceded in death by one son, Ricky Dean Anderson, parents, Porter and Eula Anderson, mother-in-law, Ida Mae Sheets, and a son-in-law, Tommy Hoffmann.
