LONIE E. MCNEECE

Lonie E. McNeece, 77, passed away in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday, March 23, 2016.

Lonie was born in McGee, Mississippi, to Ethel and Nola Mae McNeece. He grew up in McGee and Star,

Mississippi. On July 12, 1985, he married Ellen Elledge and they made their home in Duncanville, then to Grand

Prairie, DeSoto and finally to Palmer in 1997. He served his country proudly in the United States Army serving in

Vietnam.

He worked for DRG Group for 11 years as a furniture assembly. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the

Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen McNeece; three daughters: Mary Potter and husband Thomas, Leona Long and

husband Rickey, and Nancy Mills and husband Eddie; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother,

A.J. McNeece.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, four brothers, and two grandchildren, Charlie and Billy.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 28, 2016, at 1 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Palmer.

A Celebration of his life will take place on Monday, March 28, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of

Palmer. Interment will follow at a later date at DFW National Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
