Louise Huffstetler

Louise Green Huffstetler, 97, passed away in Ennis, Texas on June 8, 2018. Louise was born on June 9, 1920 in Italy, Texas to W.E. and Mattie Green. She graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1938. On November 4, 1939 she married Bill Huffstetler. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill Huffstetler, her siblings: Cecil Green and wife, Flora Lee, J.T. Green and wife, Jewel, Billy Green and wife, Betty Jane, James Green, Francis Green, Dorothy Green and Anita Martin. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Linda Green Lewis and many special nieces and nephews. Louise loved to cook and garden in her flower beds. She loved her church, Tabernacle Baptist Church of Ennis and her Sunday School Class. She also loved to oil paint her beautiful roses, bluebonnets and birds. She worked for Story Manufacturing as a supervisor for many years. After retirement she worked at Bowie Elementry School in Ennis for over 10 years, before her final true retirement. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church. A Celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2018 in Tabernacle Baptist Church of Ennis. Pallbearers will be Dave Carter, Steve Huff, Dr. Bill Lee, Dave Stewart, Robert Stockton and Dane Williams. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
