Martha Phinnell

Martha Phinnell, age 85 passed away in Ennis on March 20, 2017.  She was born on March 22, 1931 in Telico to Odell and Gladys  (McCaleb) Dodson. She worked at Ennis Business Forms for 40 years; attended the First Baptist Church in Ennis.  Martha loved antiques and shopping for them.  She was the Matriarch of the family and she took care of everybody in the family.

 

She is survived by sons, Billy Duncan and wife Olga of Ennis, Leon Duncan and wife Cathy of Ennis and Michael Richardson of Ike; grandchildren, Dustin Duncan and wife Mercedes, Brandi Mattox and husband Christopher, Caleb Duncan, Crystal Duncan, and Jenny Wiley and husband Josh; great grandchildren, Angela Duncan, Kiylen Mattox, Mason Mattox, Savannah Wiley and Aidan Wiley; brothers, Joe Dodson and wife Mary and Billy Dodson and wife Judy; sisters, Helen Dent and Kathy Lynn.

 

Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Gladys Dodson; husband George Phinnell; brother James Dodson and sister Laverne Dodson.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis.

 

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Boze-Mitchell-Mckibbin Funeral Home in Ennis.  Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery.
