Mary Kathryn Brock

Mary Kathryn Brock, 98, went home to meet her Savior on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from Celeste, Texas. Mary Kathryn was born in Ennis, Texas on February 11, 1920 to Rev. Hughey H and Jewel (Oliver) McCollum. She grew up in Ennis and attended Ennis High School. On August 18, 1939 she married the love of her life JB Brock and they made their home in San Diego, California until 1955 when they moved to Los Angeles and then to Celeste, Texas in 1987. She was a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her love for her family has reached all the way to her great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Kingston Baptist Church. She enjoyed being outside and her favorite thing to do was fish. She is survived by one son: Randy Brock and wife, Kelley; daughter-in-law, Carol Brock; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; eight great-greatgrandchildren along with a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, JB Brock, son, Raymond Joe Brock and five sisters, Wyvonne Quillan , Peggy Anthony, Margaret Vanbibber, Joy Jones and Mildred Armstrong. Visitation was held on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life was held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Her grandchildren will serve as her pallbearers. Interment will follow in Grady Cemetery of Byrd-Rankin under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
