Michael Leroy Fennell – Obituary

Michael Leroy Fennell, 61, passed away in Mesquite, Texas on Friday, October 26, 2018. Michael was born in Ponder, Texas on May 20, 1957 to William Leroy and Minnie Mae (Mooneyham) Fennell. He grew up in Palmer and attended Palmer High School. On May 22, 1993 he married Kimberly Lowe and they made their home in Tool, Texas before moving to Palmer in 1994. He loved his family and they were the light of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and any activity outside. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Fennell; sons: Michael Fennell, David Fennell, Kevin Fennell; daughter, Angela Fennell; brother, John W. Fennell and two sisters: Wanda Roberts and Loretta Kubin. He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Dora Ellen Fennell and three sisters, Dora Fennell, Billie Gutierrez and Christy Fennell. Mike, who was known to many friends and family simply as “Red”, was one of the best mechanics around. He was always willing to help in any way he could and never expected anything in return. Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Private Memorial services will be held at a later date. www.jekeevermortuary.com
