Rodney R. Ruffin

Rodney R. Ruffin, 62, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. Rodney was born on November 13, 1951 to T.T. (Skinny) and Shirley (Wood) Ruffin in Ennis, Texas. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1970. He worked for Massoud Manufacturing for eighteen years as a supervisor and for Regional Home Medical as a driver and equipment set-up. He also owned and operated Ruffin Mowing with his brother Reggie. He was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and the Son’s of the American Legion. He is survived by one son, Jared Ruffin of Alma; one daughter, Rachel Ruffin of Dallas; brother, Randy Ruffin and his wife Cheryl of Ennis; nieces and nephews: Joshua and Alisha Ruffin, Jeremy and Brooke Ruffin, Danny and Lori Strunc, Kimberly and Zack Bailey and Bradley Prestidge along with several great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Reggie Ruffin. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel with Rosary at 7 p.m. A Celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. www.jekeevermortury.com
