Ronald A. Davis

Ronald A. Davis, 73, passed away in Plano, Texas on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Ronald was born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 25, 1944 to Harry Raymond and Vera Frances (St Clair) Davis. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1962. He attended Navarro College and received his degree in Accounting from the University of Houston. On August 2, 1985 he married Deborah Welch and they lived in Ennis for five years before moving to Waco. They moved back to Ennis in 2010. He worked for AAFES for over twenty-two years and in retirement for Avenue Automotive. He was a member of the Cowboy Church of Ennis where he loved to help where needed and could be found most Sundays by the donut box before service. He loved his family and they were the joy of his life. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Davis; son, Darren Davis and wife, Robbye; daughters: Leah Watson and husband, Richard and Rhonda Jones and husband, Steve; seven grandchildren: Zack, Thomas, Alyssa, Hannah, Lindsey, Andrea and Jacob; father-in-law, Benny Welch; brother, Ray Glynn Davis and wife, Cindy; sister-in-law, Dorothy Smith along with a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the Cowboy Church of Ennis.
