Ronda Kay Bates Becker

2498393Ronda Kay Bates Becker, 66, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Saturday, April 26, 2014.

Ronda was born in Corsicana, Texas on October 3, 1947 to James Randle and Florence (Conger) Bates. She grew up in Kerens, Texas and graduated from Kerens High School in 1965. On November 20, 1971 she married Jerry Becker and they made their home in Arlington, Texas before moving to Ennis.

She worked as a legal secretary for Choate and Lily Attorneys at Law. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ennis, the Chat and Chew group and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking and shopping. She was the pianist at the First United Methodist Church, a member of the choir and of the adult Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Becker and her twin brother, Ronnie Bates and wife, Betty.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Ennis with Rev. Steve Holston officiating. Interment will follow in the Kerens Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
