Sharon Schween 1936 – 2019


S h a r o n Schween, 82, passed away in Irving, Texas on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Sharon was born on April 12, 1936 to William and Dorothy (Estes) Schween. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Southern Methodist University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Dallas Baptist University. She worked for Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital as a Speech Therapist and for Visiting Nurses Association as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed quilting, watching Speedway Racing and gardening. The joy of her life was spending time with her family. She is survived by a son, John William Mc-Manus and wife, Sally; daughter, Joel Queen and husband, Jim and daughter, Marty Mc-Manus; grandsons: Morgan Estes Gethers, Maxwell William McManus and Luke Malloy McManus; great-grandchildren: Noah Gayle McManus and Connor William McManus along with a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Bill Schween and brother, William Frank Schween.
