Stanley Joseph Seward

Stanley Joseph Seward, 68, of Deer Park, Texas passed away on March 24, 2012.
Stanley was born on June 11, 1943 in Mercedes, Texas, to Willis and Gertrude Seward.
He was the third child of seven children and lived in La Feria, Texas until he joined the Navy in 1964. After discharge from the Navy in 1967, he lived in Houston, Texas, for many years. He left Houston to serve the people of Lampasas, Texas as public works manager. He then moved to Ennis, Texas to apply his expertise in city services and after many years moved to become the Director of Public Works for the city of Sachse, Texas.
It was during his tenure at Sachse that he suffered some health issues that forced him to retire from a job he truly enjoyed. He then moved back to Houston, Texas to be near family.
He is survived by his sister, Sarita Seward Hudson; sister, Jeanne Seward; sister, Molly Seward Scott; sister and brother-in-law, Susie Seward and Phillip Holland; sister, Dollye Seward Lee; brother, Danny Seward; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved him. Stanley is preceded in death by his parents Willis and Gertrude Seward and his brother-in-law Calvin Scott. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home.
