Tony Ingargiola

Tony Ingargiola passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 at the Ennis Regional Medical Center in Ennis.
Tony was born March 11, 1931 in Dallas, Texas to Tony Ingargiola and Gladys (Taylor) Bates. He grew up in Dallas, attending Dallas schools and graduated from Crozier Tech High School. After High School, Tony went into the Dallas Police Academy. After graduation from the academy, he went into the Dallas Police force, where he served for twenty-eight years. He retired from the Dallas Police Department with the rank of Lieutenant. Tony also served his country in the United States Navy.
In November of 1962, he was married to June Tipton. They made their home in Dallas until moving to Ennis, Texas in 1968.
Tony was a member of the St. John Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Dallas Police Association. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved to cook.
Tony was dearly loved by his wife and children. He is survived by his wife, June; son, Joe Paul Ingargiola of Longview, TX; daughters: Toni Glynn and her husband, Jim Draper, also of Longview, Gina and her husband, Paul Robinson, of Ennis, TX and Lara, and her husband, Johnny Parks, of Trinidad, TX; one sister, Rosalie Bradford, of Maypearl, TX; and thirteen grandchildren: Heather, Kazia, Joseph, Price, James, Kavitha, Kaylee, Joy, Christopher, Devin, Candice, Brooke and Bailey.
Tony is preceded in death by his father, mother and step-father, Joe Bates.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc., 408 N. Dallas St., Ennis, Texas. Mass for the Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 11, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Catholic Church, of Ennis, with Rev. John Dick as Celebrant. Entombment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
