Victoria Agnes (Trojacek) Kohn

042115 KohnVictoria Agnes (Trojacek) Kohn passed away on April 17, 2015 in Waxahachie, Texas.
Victoria was born on December 21, 1921 in Telico, Texas to Charles and Mary (Taraba) Trojacek. The family later moved to Ennis. She graduated from Ennis High School in 1940. Upon Graduation she worked at Kucera’s in Ennis. She was united in marriage on November 4, 1946 to Jerry Kohn in Ennis, Texas; they made their home in Dallas. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2009. They were married 63 blissful years. From 1945 to 1952 Victoria worked at Sears and Roebuck in Dallas in the accounting department. She later became a homemaker and bookkeeper for Jerry’s business.
Victoria enjoyed sewing, embroidering, vegetable and flower gardening, and baking. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Dallas, WFLA, SPJST #25, RVOS, the Krouzek Ceskych Zen (Circle of Czech Women) of Ennis and Dallas, where she served as treasurer from 1982-2002.
Victoria is preceded in death by her sister Georgia Trojacek Honza and brother Leo Trojacek. She is survived by her son, Gary A. Kohn of Carrollton; daughter, Sharon Kohn Wilson and son-in-law, Robert Wilson of Ovilla; grandson, Alex Kohn and granddaughter, Leann Wilson; and her many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge and give special thanks to Donna Purvis and her staff at the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care facility at Brookdale Senior Living of Waxahachie for their loving care and support.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
