21 Late Points not enough for Ferris

The Ferris Yellowjackets welcomed the Godley Wildcats to Jackets stadium for their 2017 homecoming. The Ferris Yellowjackets could not contain the Godley offense as they racked up 514 total yards of offense to Ferris’ 296. The Yellowjackets took the opening kickoff after 2:31. They went three plays and had to punt. The first play from scrimmage for the Godley Wildcats saw quarterback Jason Faulkenberry throw a 68-yard touchdown pass to Taylor Grimes as Godley went up 7-0 with nine minutes 37 seconds in the first. Godley forced a quick turnover-on-downs and continued to march it down the field, finishing the drive with a Grimes 17-yard touchdown.
