Aledo rolls to another crown, wins 55-19


Aledo won its seventh state championship in 10 years when they crushed Fort Bend Marshall by a 55-19 count in front 26,155 at AT&T Stadium. In capping a 16-0 season the Bearcats handed Marshall their first loss of the season. It was their first trip to the title game since the school opened in 2002. Junior running back Jase McClellan, 5’11, 190 pounds, was the MVP of the championship game for the second straight year, though last season it came following a 20-19 defeat at the hands of College Station.
