All-District soccer selects 13 from Ennis


Ennis capped one of its best boys soccer seasons in recent memory this spring when they compiled a 12-10-3 record and their 5-4-3 mark in District 14-5A was good enough for a third place finish. It also produced 13 players on the All-District team, including five on the First Team. Head Coach Kyle Taylor’s squad had one of the area’s best offensive attacks, scoring 75 goals, though they petered out during the closing fivegame skid in which they went 0-4-1 and were outscore 18-2 over the final four and one-half games. The defense, too, lost their grip on things in the closing weeks.
