Pregnancy center to cut ribbon

Counseling offices holding Chamber grand opening
WRC Pregnancy Center of Ellis County will celebrate the opening of its new Ennis office, 100 N.E. Main St., Suite E, on Tues., Feb. 5. The public is invited to tour the new facility.
The Ennis Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting will take place at 10 a.m. followed by an open house until 1 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Novelist Arlene James will be present to autograph her books. The first 50 people who come to the event will receive a free copy of one of her novels. James has steadily published in the field of romance for nearly three decades, with nearly 70 original titles to her credit. She currently publishes inspirational romance with Steeple Hill Books and is working on the last of a three-book series, on sale beginning in June of 2008.
WRC Pregnancy Center of Ellis County serves mothers who are pregnant and those parenting children up to age 2.
“Fathers are encouraged to participate in the programs as well,” said director Donna Young. “And all educational programs and services, including pregnancy tests, are free and confidential.”
WRC Pregnancy Center also supplies free car safety seats to children whose parents are not able to purchase them and who attend one of the car seat safety classes offered monthly.
