Early voting sites announced for Ellis County primary elections

Ellis County will soon weigh in on elections which members of both political parties agree may be the most crucial in years. Early voting for the March 4 Democratic and Republican Primary Election will begin Feb. 19.
The Elections Office, located at 106 S. Monroe St. in Waxahachie, will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and three other locations will be open to early voters from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Those three polling locations include the Ennis Sub-Courthouse at 116 W. Ennis Ave., Midlothian Conference Center at 1 Community Circle and the Ovilla City Hall at 105 S. Cockrell Hill Road.
Early voting will continue during the same times through Feb. 22. Starting Saturday, Feb. 23, the Elections Office will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with the other locations open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Elections Office will be the only location open Sunday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Early voting will be extended starting Feb. 25 through 29 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Elections Office. For the Ennis Sub-Courthouse and Midlothian Conference Center the hours will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. From Feb. 25-29 the fourth polling location will be changed from the Ovilla City Hall to the Old Red Oak Junior High School at 101 Live Oak St. #202. Open hours will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
