Community pride runs rampant

As the community winds down from the Bluebonnet Festival and prepares for the National Polka Festival, we have been reminded of the excellent work and effort the city crews put into the set up and clean up of those events.
Despite the weather and whatever obstacles are in their way, the city employees continue to make sure that the city puts their best foot forward for visitors.
The city crews work through the weekends during the various festivals to proactively take care of any problems that may arise and also to keep the downtown area clean with the influx of visitors. It is the heart of the community and a huge source of pride and that is obvious to anyone passing through.
The dedication and efforts of the city crews have not gone unnoticed by the community and their hard work is appreciated.
Kudos to them for not only making sure the festival’s run smoothly but that to tourists, it is a clean and wonderful place to visit.
For those of us that live here, we already know the perks to calling Ennis home, but for the occasions where we get to showcase our city, it is nice to be able to do so with everyone’s help.
The opportunity to do so began with the Bluebonnet Festival and will continue in a few weeks with the National Polka Fest but no matter how many times we get to welcome visitors one thing is certain, community pride is always on display in Ennis.
We are glad we live in a community that takes such pride in how it looks.
Great work everyone and we can’t wait to see what the Polka Festival brings.
