Multi-County Career Expo set for April 8

The Corsicana/Navarro County Chamber of Commerce and Navarro College have collaborated to promote a multi-county event to enhance the workforce potential in Ellis, Freestone, Leon, Limestone and Navarro counties. The fourth annual Career Expo will be held April 8 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Wolens Special Events Center on the Corsicana campus.
This event is designed to benefit those interested in exploring educational and career options offered at Navarro College in the business, professional and technical education departments. Community members and students from area high schools will learn about educational requirements and career opportunities with businesses and industries and can visit with Navarro College representatives to obtain information concerning career education and training programs.
In addition, businesses will have the opportunity to network with a variety of educational and job-training programs provided by Navarro College at the Corsicana, Mexia, Waxahachie and Midlothian campuses, and will be able to highlight their job opportunities and career pathways. Information regarding grant-funding sources to assist in employee performances and organizational enhancements will be available by the Navarro College Department of Continuing Education.
