New ideas implemented throughout Relay evening

With less than a week before the Ennis Relay for Life opening ceremonies at the Texas Motorplex, committee members are organizing the last details of the schedule of activities that will take place throughout the 12-hour relay.
Entertainment committee co-chair Elizabeth Wester said the entertainment schedule for the evening is packed with familiar favorites as well as new activities that are sure to include everyone.
“We have been working very hard on making the activities for the event fun and upbeat because we want to help everyone stay pumped up and enthusiastic throughout the night,” she said. “The evening will have some of the activities that have been popular at previous relays but also some new activities that we are hoping will be a huge success.”
To help keep people from getting too sleepy, Wester has arranged to have three different bands play live at the event and hopes fans of the groups who may not be participating in Relay will come to support the bands and in turn support the Relay cause.
