Girl Scouts spread joy of reading

Girl Scout Troop 2688 is starting a book drive at Prosperity Bank today and donations can be made until Aug. 15.
They will be accepting new and used children’s books aimed at children in sixth grade and younger.
“This is our first time doing a book drive,” Troop Leader Kim Wall said. “The girls are working on an award and they have to complete an interest project of their choosing. They chose a reading badge because of the summer reading program at the library and they worked it all in together.”
