Stabbing suspect indicted

The man who admitted to killing Julia Jaquez has been indicted.
Michael Wayne Johnson, 29, was arrested in the July 22 stabbing death of Jaquez. He was indicted on a charge of murder as well as a charge of assaulting a detention officer while in custody Aug. 1.

Hours after finding the body of 62-year-old Julia Delossantos Jaquez, Ennis police issued and executed an arrest warrant for Johnson.

According to the warrant, Ennis police received a report of a possible homicide at 528 B E. Lake St. on July 22.
