Pastor plans to broadcast Obama speech

For students and parents who did not see President Obama’s speech to schoolchildren when it aired earlier this month, one Ennis resident is giving them another opportunity to view the address.
Local pastor Booker Washington said he found Obama’s speech inspiring, and wanted the opportunity to air it at a venue accessible to children, their parents and other members of the Ennis community.

“A lot of the students didn’t get a chance to see (the speech), and I wanted to give parents a chance to see it, too,” Washington said. “I think it would be a missed opportunity if they didn’t get a chance to hear it.”
