Fall Festival acts line up

Bring your family and friends to enjoy the tastes, sights and sounds of the 8th annual Autumn Days in Ennis Fall Festival. Hours will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and this year’s festival promises to deliver lots of family fun and quality entertainment.
The Ennis Arts Commission is the proud sponsor of the entertainment stage. Entertainment will kick off at 11 a.m. Oct. 17 on NW Main at the main stage with the Ennis High School Lionettes performing a Halloween mix. Performing with them are children from this year’s Community Dance Clinic held in July. They will also be performing this routine at Screams on Oct. 24 and at the homecoming football game on Oct. 30.

Next, the GO! Dance and Gymnastics Studio’s Competition Team, a select group of young ladies, will be performing the routines they are set to perform at the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Competition, held in the new Cowboys Stadium on Nov. 7, as well as Screams on Oct. 24. Both of these groups are under the direction of Stephanie Reese.

Following the dance teams, Inspiration Inc. will present the Bouffants, which will perform fun songs from girls’ groups of the ’60s. Next, is the MJD Band, www.mjdband.com, an original rock and roll band with a definite southern rock flavor. Finally, a hometown favorite, the Pontiax, will wow the crowd with their mixture of classic rock and roll. Sound will be provided by Rockin’ R Productions.
