Suspect’s Austin hearing refixed

An Ennis man arrested and charged with soliciting a minor over the Internet won’t go to court until November and has yet to be indicted.
Stanley Brazier, 51, was jailed in Austin on Oct. 10 after he allegedly went to Austin to meet an online contact who he thought was a 14-year-old girl. Austin police had apparently been leading an investigation for several months, and arrested Brazier when he showed up for the meeting. He posted bond and was back to work at his local business, B&B Auto Repair, the next week.

He was originally scheduled for an initial hearing Monday, but his hearing was refixed for Nov. 9.

Investigators allegedly began contact with Brazier on June 16, when the suspect — using the screen name “sandman75119” — reportedly invited an undercover officer into a private chat.
