‘Little Women’ hit stage

For the last two years, the Ennis Theatre Project has brought Ennis High School Theatre students and members of the community together for a large-scale production.
This year, the Ennis Theatre Project is bringing the Broadway musical Little Women to the stage. The show opens Thursday night, said Tonya Harper, EHS theater teacher.

“We’ve got three days until opening night, and we’ve got three days worth of work to do,” she said.

She said the cast and crew of the musical has been working together since mid-October to ensure a top-notch show. As the date nears for the first performance, students have been volunteering their time during lunch and outside of school to do some last minute work on the production, Harper said. She said the technical theater class has built the set and worked on costumes for the performers.
