Lady Lions explode for 39-6 run at Waco University

For the first two-and-a-half quarters at Waco University on Friday night, Lady Lion basketball wasn’t on its game and only a gigantic shift in the action would save Ennis.
The host Trojans completed a four-point play in the third quarter to go up 34-19, as Ennis coach David Kilpatrick called a timeout. The figurative light bulb went on for the maroon team, as Ennis (15-12, 3-6) staged an unbelievable 39-6 run on the way to a 58-43 victory. It was a rollercoaster ballgame, to say the least.

“That (four-point play) was the epitome of the way our night was going,” Kilpatrick said.
