Wednesday Night Live on the grow

The inspiration almost three years ago when Bud White decided to start hosting a Wednesday dinner every week at First United Methodist Church, is still his motivation today — his wife, Jan.
“When my wife was pregnant with our daughter Ashley, the smell of food was deadly; I spent nine months going from the bedroom to the kitchen,” White said. “I do all the cooking, she hasn’t cooked in 30 years.”

Essentially, White wanted these dinners to be for working women and their families, so that when these women got home from work they could sit down and have a good meal, without having to lift a finger.
