Morning muck causes van to go tumbling

The driver of this blue Ford van emerged from this end-over-end tumble off of U.S. 287 West near the Ennis Airport with minor injuries.
Police and emergency personnel at the scene believe the driver hit a patch of road with deep ruts that had filled with water during this morning’s downpour, losing control of the vehicle and hydroplaning into the guardrail, ripping down signs and rolling an estimated 100 feet before coming to a rest at the bottom of the embankment.
