Field trip: Touring the DMA

Some high school students never get an opportunity to go to an art museum, but thanks to a grant from Target, nearly 100 Ennis High School art students got the chance to go Thursday.
This is the third year the EHS art department has gotten the grant and been able to go. The students visited the Dallas Museum of Art as well as the Crow Collection of Asian Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center.

EHS art teacher Jeannie Lucky said taking the students to the DMA lets them look at works of art they might not otherwise get to see.

“They’re (getting exposure) to so much,” Lucky said. “Some of these kids won’t go to a museum on their own.”
