Banner year for bluebonnets
By the estimation of the Ennis Convention and Visitors Bureau, this year has been one of the most successful bluebonnet tourism seasons in recent memory.
Bluebonnet Trails is coming to an end Friday, with the official end of the month-long celebration of the Texas flower.
The 8,500 people with bluebonnet fever who have come through the doors of the Ennis Convention and Visitors Bureau and signed in for tours are only a part of the whole, and the doors will stay open for extended hours through Friday. Last weekend alone, the ladies working at the CVB saw at least 1,500 visitors come through looking for maps, information and Ennis’ hospitality.
