Special speaker adds flair to Dewey Decimal system

Children who visited the Ennis Public Library’s Summer Reading Program Tuesday learned all about the Dewey Decimal System from special guest “Engineer Maggie.”
Engineer Maggie, also known as Margaret Clauder, has been entertaining and educating children for more than 20 years and has been a visitor to the Ennis Public Library at least 10 of those. She wears a number of hats for the annual Ennis program — she was “Patriotic Patty” at preschool story time two weeks ago.

Clauder creates different shows to match up with the theme of the Summer Reading Program each year, combining story telling, puppets and magic. Clauder said she is already working on a curriculum for summer 2011.
