Confessed molester goes free

The 25-year-old man who police said confessed to molesting a now-4-year-old relative this year is walking free today after the county dismissed the case against him Thursday.
Prosecutor Lindy Tober, assistant Ellis County District Attorney, moved to dismiss the case after the defense put the child witness on the stand for a competency hearing in pretrial phase.

Ennis police, who worked with U.S. Secret Service agents during the investigation into defendant Calvin Poe, took the turn of events hard after pulling a confession out of the defendant in January.
