Forney stages huge comeback to edge Lions

A couple of weeks ago, Forney led South Oak Cliff 24-0 and ended up losing the ballgame.
On Friday, the Jackrabbits (2-2, 1-1) trailed Ennis (1-3, 0-2) 27-2 and scored the only 26 points in the last quarter and a half of play for a shocking 28-27 victory. Each team turned the ball over four times in a game it seemed like the Lions had in the bag, but somebody forgot to tell Forney it was over.

“You have to tip your hat to those kids for Forney because they never gave up and just kept plugging away,” said Ennis coach Steve Marrow. “You have to put people away when you have the chance and we didn’t do that. We have to get so much better in a lot of areas and we’re working to get to that point.
