FM 660 home burns
Don Hosek was outside his home on FM 660 when the blaze that would ultimately burn it to the ground started Tuesday morning.
Ellis County Fire Marshal Jim Pharr said the fire, which began after 11 a.m. at the home at 9011 FM 660, seemed to originate in the kitchen, but what caused the blaze is uncertain.
“Ironically, Mr. Hosek said his grandparents had a two-story house on that plot that burned down, which is when the brick house was built,” Pharr said.
