EDN’s top 10 defensive performances in 2010

Certainly one could argue defense is more important than offense in football or most other sports, so let’s not overlook some of the better defensive efforts the Lions put forth this year.
In addition to my top 10, I’ve got a few candidates that deserve an honorable mention for their efforts. It was more difficult to evaluate defensive performances the night after a game than it was for the offensive players, so some of these Lions might not have received much credit at the time. Better late than never …

Honorable Mention: Linebacker Boston Prachyl vs. Arlington Seguin (10 tackles, forced fumble, pass breakup, 2 drive-ending plays); Dylan Honza vs. Fossil-Ridge (12 tackles, tackle for loss); Brent Nelson vs. Poteet (12 tackles); Boston Prachyl vs. Waxahachie (12 tackles, tackle for loss, pass breakup)
