Police investigating Sterilite bomb threat

Police and fire department personnel responded to the Sterilite facility in Ennis’ Industrial Park early Monday morning after receiving a report that an employee had been told there was a bomb in the building.
Det. Sgt. Mike Hopson said at 12:37 a.m. a man phoned the business and said “some guys from Dallas” wanted to blow up the warehouse. A search was conducted throughout the building and no suspicious packages were located and the building was cleared.
Hopson said employees were not forced to evacuate the building during the threat but were told they could leave “if they felt uncomfortable about the situation.”
According to Hopson, there are no suspects and no leads in the case.
