Avalon Eagles crush Covington

In terms of talent, it was like a toddler playing against a grown man. Covington, surprisingly scored first on Friday night, but was overpowered by a dominant Avalon squad, 59-13. Covington (1-6) took an early 6-0 lead on their first drive of the game as Chance Meeks scored on a long run. But the Owls missed an extra point due to a bad snap. The Eagles capitalized on good field position on the ensuing kickoff and a long pass where Avalon quarterback Eric Smith found Marcus Kinzer for a touchdown giving them the lead.
