Corsicana coaching staff grows with addition of Darrell Thompson, brother of fallen DART officer


It has been a busy summer for Corsicana’s Tigers, who will begin practice August 13. There’s a ton of talent returning, including quarterback Blake Hoffman and defensive leader Melvin Martin, an all-state defensive end, and a revamped offensive line with the potential to be the best in recent years. The summer has also been full of changes on the sidelines as well. The Tigers have been busy hiring coaches and three new assistants have been hired to help the Tigers take the next step this fall. The Tigers have a new offensive line coach in John Racsh, a long time coach in South Texas who is originally from Waxahachie. The Tigers also have a new face on defense as Darrell Thompson, the son of Sam Thompson and brother of Brent Thompson, returns to Corsicana.
