Corsicana falls late, 28-20

Leading 20-14 in the fourth quarter, District 8-5A champion Corsicana yielded two touchdowns in the final six minutes in a 28-20 season-ending playoff loss to Centennial at Burleson ISD Stadium. The Tigers, 9-3, also began the season with a 28-26 defeat at the hands of Centennial. Next up for the 11-1 Spartans is No. 9 Frisco Reedy (12-0), who eliminated Midlothian (9-3) on Friday, 52-29. Corsicana was gashed on defense, surrendering 292 yards on the ground, 6.6 yards per run, four times ending with a TD.
