Building a Bridge Over Troubled Waters Spotlighting Muirhead, Kilpatrick, Bridgeforth

It’s been a while since the last time Ennis reached double-figures in the win column. In fact five years ago the squad posted an 0-for season. Oh-for, a term used in baseball to mean zero hits in each at bat in a game… like 0-for-4. Players answer the question, How did you hit… saying under their breath, I was 0-for. It’s not a good reply. During the 2014-15 boys basketball season the Lions were 0-for-the-season, or 0-25 to be exact. The dark clouds of that forgettable campaign did have a surprising silver lining. The leading scorer on the squad, a 6’4 guard who averaged around 18ppg, walked on at UT-Arlington, made the team and eventually a scholarship. Scott Muirhead, now a redshirt junior, has played in 37 games for the Mavericks and the likable redhead still wears No. 15. Read stories like this and more in your latest edition of The Ennis News.
