Ennis clips Owls, 73-52, finish 8-4 in district


Powered by a 13-0 third quarter run, Ennis broke open a close game and went on to whip Joshua, 73-52, on Friday at the Ensign Gym. The Lions swept the season series by virtue of a 70-65 road win on Jan. 15. Ennis improved their overall record to 11-18, much improved after winning just nine games combined over the past two seasons. The Lions were 4-29 three years ago and 0-25 in 2014-15. During the scoring spree, which saw Ennis tie the score at 34 on a Dee Johnson bucket, and take the lead for good on back-to-back scores from Zion Manuel.
