Ennis hosts 10-team Bluebonnet Relays, Mar. 21-22


Paige Lemonia leads the Lady Lions T&F team in three categories. Ennis is playing host to a 10-team field at the annual Bluebonnet Relays on Thursday and Friday at Lion Memorial Stadium. Area fans are invited to take in the action of many of the area’s best trained athletes with the action set to start at 4:30 p.m. on both days. Junior high competition is slated for Thursday with high school set for Friday at the same time. Field events are scheduled to begin at approximately 4:30 p.m., with the 3200 meters on the agenda for 4:45 p.m. Running events, always a crowd favorite, are on tap for 6 p.m. Ennis coaches Lonnie Redning (girls) and Stephen Marrow (boys) are expected to contend in the 10-team venue that includes: Corsicana, Princeton, Red Oak, Fort Worth Diamond Hill, North Forney, Bishop Dunne, A+ Academy, Tyler Street Academy, Covenant Academy and Ennis.
