Lions Insider: Hugh, Stu and Tater talk coin-toss loss

Last Friday’s wacky weather prompted a large number of games to be postponed until the following day, when better than expected weather prevailed. A few had to be played on Monday due to flooding. Ennis and Lufkin, the latter who reportedly turned down several prior attempts to avoid the trip Friday and simply play the game on Saturday – they refused each offer, ended up tossing a coin to determine the winner. That the game came down to the flick of a thumb brought ire from many and head scratching from the rest.
There were pros and cons either way, though the focus of the heat may best be directed at the University Interscholastic League and the administration at Lufkin, not necessarily in that order.
Moving on, our three football experts; well, two who know some stuff and one mystic, old Spud, offer their views on unusual setback as well as Thursday’s home finale against Lindale.
