Readying for the Upcoming Season Lions Scrimmage at Waxahachie, Cedar Hill on Sat., Tues.

Ryan Casas (left) and Jarron Honza were all smiles during a break at practice last week. The two seniors will be key contributors this season. Practices, intra-squad scrimmages, and exhibition games have been underway as Ennis baseball players have been hard at work preparing for the upcoming season. Dividing the rosters for the varsity and junior varsity teams is next for coaches with three pre-season scrimmages are slated for the next few days. The Lions recently traveled to Keller to meet Class 6A Fossil Ridge in an 11 inning practice that ended with coaches finding plenty of positives, much of them from the offense. They have three more on tap against Class 6A teams, two on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Waxahachie’s new campus turf field. Arlington Martin and Waxahachie are slated to meet the Lions at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively.
