Ross named allregion, all-state

Leading Ennis in scoring and rebounding, Tyquanna Ross (23) was clearly the top impact player in District 14-5A. Tyquanna Ross capped a standout basketball career at Ennis when she was chosen to both the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) All-Region and All-State teams. A 5’10” combo guard who also played forward, signed a scholarship offer to play in Hillsboro next year at Hill College. The Rebels went 21-10 with 10 sophomores and seven freshman at the two-year school.
Ross, a senior, averaged 18 points and 9 rebounds as Ennis won 62 games in three seasons under Head Coach David Kilpatrick. She had 16 games of 20+ points, including 33 in a five-point win in December. “Killer” pointed out that Ross was also named the District 14-5A MVP and made the First Team this season. In her junior campaign, she was selected by league coaches as the District 17-5A MVP and a First Team selection as well. Last year made the TABC All-Region team.
