Young track talent heads to Joshua


Ennis treks 55 miles to Joshua on Wednesday and Friday, April 10 and 12, for the District 14-5A track and field meet, with the top qualifiers moving ahead to the Area meet, April 18, again in Joshua. Those succeeding will advance to the Region 2 meet in Arlington during April 26-27. Stephen Morrow, a longtime coach of multiple sports, says “We have a much smaller varsity this year than in the past, with lots of younger kids,” he said. “We are about a year away from being really competitive again. Right now we are building and preparing.” Still, there are several with hopes of success. Only the top four in each category survive.
